11/13/16, Holiday Planning

Hello, Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well, that last week was wonderful and that you had a chance to relax this weekend. I’m sure you feel as I do – that life gets more complicated with daily activities. We all have jobs, yes, even stay-at-home moms have jobs, the most difficult job of all, and families with a multitude of activities to coordinate. Now that the holidays are approaching, this adds to our already busy schedules. I for one am busy planning family events as well as holiday events at work – we plan a major event for our office building and for the company where I work. It’s always fun planning and coordinating, but after the holidays, I want to collapse into a padded chair and wipe my brow. Phew!

As an aside, I hope you’ve read my newest release, the Crystal Creek boxed set, Books 1-3. For a limited time, the cost is only $0.99 – a great price for an e-stocking stuffer. It will be a fun and relaxing read when you plan those quiet moments during the holidays. Pour yourself a cup of tea or snuggle into the corner of your favorite reading chair with a glass of wine and enter the world of Crystal Creek. In these books, you’ll meet Victoria, Jake and Giselle, all members of the Whitloch family. These stories are filled with love and adventure and suspense. I hope you will love them!!!

Like everyone, I look forward to Fridays. If you follow me on Facebook, you’ll notice my ode to Fridays. I want everyone to enjoy Friday as much as I do. Friday nights are usually my evening to unwind. Even if my husband, who is a classically trained pianist, and I attend a concert, for me it’s relaxing to sit in a concert hall, or sometimes even a church, and listen to beautiful music and beautiful singing. Colorado has many community orchestras and choirs. During the holidays, there are an abundance of opportunities to attend a concert at a very reasonable price. A few weeks ago, we attended a choir concert at a local church. The choir sang music from the Renaissance period as well as contemporary pieces. Yes, even today, serious music is being composed. If you have a favorite composer or classical piece you listen to during the holidays, please share. I love learning about the music others enjoy.

I hope you all have a wonderful week, and if you need some respite from the holidays, I hope you’ll read my latest release – the Crystal Creek boxed set.

Wishing you joy and peace during the holidays!!!

Love,

Laura
