2/16/20, Hollywood Romance Novels

Hollywood

The romance genre has many subgenres, but ones I love to read are the Hollywood romance novels. What could be more fun than falling in love with a movie star?

When I was drafting ideas for Book 3 of the Beaumont Brides Series, Addison Duvall’s story came to me and Call It Love was born. I drew on some of my own experiences as I had worked as extra in some Hollywood movies. The work wasn’t hard and the pay was great! So I decided to base Addison’s Hollywood story on my own experiences. It was great fun and brought back a lot of memories.

Of course, Addison’s story had to be more complicated than  my experiences,  and, thus, Spencer Kingsley was born. To complicate Spencer’s life, he’s the grandson of Hollywood royalty and America’s sweetheart, Mirabelle La Marr. I had to be careful when I worked with Mirabelle. She was a force to be reckoned with and so I limited her page time.

But back to the Addison and Spencer, he learned the hard way that his pedigree attracted a lot of wannabes who were looking for a connection so naturally he was suspicious of Addison, but Addison has her own inner turmoil. She doesn’t want ride someone’s coattails. She worked hard to craft her talent and wants to make it on her own, but that doesn’t stop her feelings for Spencer.

This book was fun to write and I can’t wait to share it with everyone! I hope you love this book!

Have a wonderful and blessed week!

Love,

Laura
